FOLAMOUR (A/V) JOINS THE LINE-UP ON 30 AUGUST

With three weeks to go until the start of the 3rd edition of MEO KALORAMA,which takes place in Parque da Bela Vista on 29, 30 and 31 August, it’s alreadypossible to draw up a detailed itinerary to enjoy every moment of the only majorsummer festival held annually in Lisbon. Over three days, the WE ARE MEOKALORAMA community will be able to enjoy 53 performances spread over 4stages: the MEO Stage, the San Miguel Stage, the Lisbon Stage and thePanorama Stage.

With doors opening every day at 16h00 and closing on the 29th at 02h00 and onthe 30th and 31st at 03h00, Landzs, the rap and trap artist who grew up inLisbon’s Chelas neighbourhood, will sound the first chords in Parque da BelaVista on the 29th, opening the first day’s programme. The MEO Stage opens withthe Portuguese Muleca XIII and Ana Lua Caiano, followed by the trip-hop of thehistoric Massive Attack and the crowning glory of the night with the irresistiblepop and voice of Sam Smith.
On the San Miguel Stage, the diversity of the first day is guaranteed with thefestive synth-pop of Gossip, the uniqueness of Fever Ray or the iconic PeggyGou, who promises an unforgettable end to the evening.
This year’s big news is the Lisbon stage, which emphasises the festival’s evenstronger connection with the city, with the people of Lisbon and with thecommunity that, since the first edition, has been part of the moments of sharingand communion that this event provides. On the 29th, the city’s stage will beheard loud and clear, with a diverse and inclusive programme featuring namessuch as Filipe Catto, Jalen Ngonda and the highly anticipated Loyle Carner.
Friday 30 August will be the day to get your feet off the ground and enjoy theparty that Jungle will be throwing on the MEO Stage, followed by theperformance of the much-anticipated LCD Soundsystem with their indie-dancepunk. The Kills and Death Cab for Cutie + Postal Service are just some of thenames that will be echoing on the San Miguel Stage, which closes the day witha new addition to the line-up: French producer and DJ Folamour in an A/V show,who after conquering the world with his performances at festivals such asTomorrowland, Glastonbury or Coachella, returns to Portugal and brings in hissuitcase his latest single: “Pressure makes Diamonds”. This work marks a newchapter in his career, as he searches for the introspection and depth in wordsthat happily flow onto a dance floor.
The Lisbon Stage will make guitars the center of attention with the effervescentEnglish Teacher followed by the brilliant Nation of Language and a grand finalewith the experimentation of Ezra Collective.
On the 31st, the last day of the festival, the MEO Stage kicks off with three greatperformances by three Portuguese artists: BR!SA, Cláudia Pascoal and AnaMoura set the rules before concerts by the multi-award-winning Raye and the topname in Afrobeats, Burna Boy. The San Miguel Stage will be invaded by anamalgamation of styles with the seasoned bass of Overmono, the depth of dEUSor the ever-celebrated Soulwax performance that closes the 3rd edition of MEOKALORAMA. The most eclectic venue of the day will be the Lisbon Stage withperformances by Bandalos Chinos, Yard Act and Yves Tumor.
As for the Panorama Stage, which made its debut in 2023, it returns this yearwith a line-up that is once again geared towards clubbing, featuring some of thebiggest names in electronic music who will have the immense pleasure of gettingthe WE ARE MEO KALORAMA community dancing until the very last second ofthe festival.
